Sail Hives operates as an independent flight booking and travel assistance platform. All flight tickets, fares, and conditions are subject to the individual policies of the airline(s) involved. Refund and cancellation eligibility varies depending on:

  • Airline rules

  • Fare type (refundable, non-refundable, promotional, or discounted)

  • Travel class

  • Route and destination

  • Time of cancellation

Not all flight tickets are eligible for refunds or changes.


Flight Cancellations

Passenger-Initiated Cancellations

If you choose to cancel your flight booking, the following conditions apply:

  • Cancellation requests must be submitted through Sail Hives support channels

  • Airline cancellation fees may apply

  • Service or processing fees charged by Sail Hives may be non-refundable

  • Some fares may be partially refundable or completely non-refundable

Cancellation requests made closer to the departure date may incur higher penalties or may not be permitted at all, depending on airline policies.

Airline-Initiated Cancellations

If an airline cancels a flight due to operational issues, schedule changes, or other reasons, refund or rebooking options will be handled according to the airline’s policy. Sail Hives will assist you in coordinating available solutions, but final decisions rest with the airline.


Refund Eligibility

Refund eligibility depends entirely on the fare rules of the airline. Common scenarios include:

  • Refundable tickets: Eligible for refunds, subject to airline deductions

  • Non-refundable tickets: Not eligible for cash refunds; may qualify for travel credit

  • Promotional or discounted fares: Often non-refundable and non-changeable

Refunds, when approved, are issued to the original form of payment used at the time of booking.


Refund Processing Time

Once a refund request is approved by the airline:

  • Processing time may take 7–21 business days

  • Some international refunds may take longer depending on the airline and payment method

  • Delays caused by banks, credit card issuers, or payment gateways are outside Sail Hives’ control

Sail Hives is not responsible for refund delays once the airline has processed the request.


Changes to Flight Bookings

Changes to flight dates, routes, or passenger details are subject to:

  • Airline change policies

  • Fare difference (if applicable)

  • Change fees imposed by the airline

Some tickets do not allow changes under any circumstances. Sail Hives will assist with change requests when permitted but cannot override airline rules.


No-Show Policy

A “no-show” occurs when a passenger fails to check in or board a scheduled flight without prior cancellation. In such cases:

  • The ticket may become entirely non-refundable

  • Remaining segments may be automatically canceled by the airline

  • No refunds or credits may be issued

Passengers are advised to cancel in advance if unable to travel.


Special Circumstances

Refunds or changes due to medical emergencies, visa rejections, or force majeure events (such as natural disasters or government restrictions) are handled strictly based on airline discretion. Supporting documentation may be required, and approval is not guaranteed.


Service Fees

Sail Hives may charge a service or processing fee for:

  • Booking assistance

  • Cancellations

  • Changes or modifications

These fees are separate from airline charges and are generally non-refundable, even if the airline issues a refund.


Travel Credits & Vouchers

In some cases, airlines may offer travel credits instead of monetary refunds. Such credits:

  • Must be used within the airline’s validity period

  • Are subject to airline rules and restrictions

  • Cannot be exchanged for cash unless specified by the airline

Sail Hives does not control the issuance or conditions of airline credits.


Passenger Responsibility

Travelers are responsible for:

  • Reviewing fare rules before booking

  • Ensuring accurate passenger details

  • Understanding airline-specific refund and cancellation policies

Sail Hives provides guidance but cannot be held responsible for airline policy decisions.


Policy Updates
